A man from Slobozia-Varancau, Soroca district, murdered his wife and mother-in-law and then committed suicide. A short time later, he was found without breath in the outskirts of a locality in Camenca, IPN reports.

The General Inspectorate of Police says police were alerted around 11:00. The women, aged 55 and 75, were found in the house with multiple wounds and obvious signs of violent death.

Officers responded to the scene, suspecting the husband of the 55-year-old woman, who fled the scene.

Shortly after, the suspect was found dead in the outskirts of a village in Camenca.

"He ended his life by strangulation. The police are continuing investigations to establish all the circumstances of the case", the IGP said.
