Moldovan halfback Dan Spataru didn’t work long with coach Oleg Protasov. Under the guidance of the Ukrainian coach, the footballer of Astra Giurgiu played only in the match of Brasov that ended in a draw. That draw cost Protasov his job.  

Dorinel Munteanu became the new coach. In 2011, he won the championship of Romania with Otelul Galati.

Dan Spataru was ‘borrowed’ by Astra from Zimbru until summer. “I would like to play for Astra after summer too. The championship of Romania is more powerful than that of Moldova,” the player of the national football team of Moldova has told IPN.

Nicolae Calancea and Catalin Carp also compete in the championship of Romania.
