Dorin Recean: Moldova wants to learn from Luxembourg’s best experiences

The Republic of Moldova wants to borrow the best experiences and practices in the sectors in which Luxembourg has richer expertise, Prime Minister Dorin Recean stated in a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel. The officials also conferred on the way in which the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg can support the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.

Premier Recean expressed his gratitude for the support provided by Luxembourg for the European path of the Republic of Moldova. As for the strengthening of the bilateral partnership, official emphasized the commercial-economic component, but also the efforts to diversify cooperation in the internal affairs, labor and social protection, environmental protection.

According to the Government’s press service, the officials identified possibilities to expand cooperation in the green energy sector and also in the financial-banking sector in order to align with the international standards in the field. To accept the initiatives and attract new investors to the national economy, the intention to organize a Moldovan-Luxembourg Business Forum this year was mentioned.

For his part, Xavier Bettel encouraged the implementation, step by step, of the reform agenda and assured that Luxembourg will continue to support the modernization of the Republic of Moldova and the improvement of the standard of living for the citizens.
