The accusations that the PL places obstacles to the negotiations on the formation of a majority coalition, made by the PLDM and PDM, are absurd, said the first deputy chairman of the PL, Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoacam, IPN reports.
“An artificial situation was created to accuse the PL of being obstinate and of pushing the PLDM and PDM towards the Communists. This is an absurdity. It is they who have agreements with the Communists and look for excuses to be able to justify their decision to form a government with the Communists. We are now presented like a kind of dragon that wants to eat Fat-Frumos and Ileana Cosanzeana,” he stated.
Dorin Chirtoaca also said that the PL proposed 5-6 variants of forming a pro-European government so that the participation of the sides is fair. “What in Bucharest has been a rule for over 10 years – the formation of a government according to the proportional parity of each party – is ignored in our country. Afterward we suggested that the parties keep the same ministries they managed and proposed again 2-3 compromise solutions,” he stated.
According to Chirtoaca, the PL wants a fair government with an agreement like in Germany, with equitable methods of distributing the posts. “We need to institute quarantine and to bring doctors from the EU to deal with the itchiness as our doctors cannot longer cope. A politically controlled justice is equal to the failure of any European integration,” he noted.
Dorin Chirtoaca also said that during a visit to Romania, within which he exchanged opinions with former President Emil Constantinescu, Senator Calin Popescu Tariceanu and Prime Minister Victor Ponta, these said that Moldova needs only a pro-European government. “They do not accept even the idea of a government with the participation of the Communists in Chisinau. From their viewpoint, the only viable government in Moldova is a pro-European government formed by the PLDM, PDM, and PL. The royal family of Romania expressed the same stance,” he stated.
The last round of negotiations between the leaders of the three parties was held on January 17.
