After leaving the polling station, where he expressed his choice in the second round of the general local elections, the leader of the Liberal Party, Dorin Chirtoaca, declared that he voted for the continuation of the European and Romanian development of Chisinau, IPN reports.

"We voted to put an end to the chaos that Plahotniuc regime had created in the last two years, at least, but which, in fact, goes back to 2009," said the PL leader.

The Liberal believes that, starting from Chisinau, the change can continue throughout the Republic of Moldova. "As a common citizen, I wish to wake up in the morning in a warm and comfortable flat, with a clean staircase and have public transport on time", mentioned Dorin Chirtoaca.

The Liberal has also mentioned that he wants Chisinau to have adequate public services in the 21st century, landscaped parks, clean air and quality water. "These things, to a certain extent, have been dealt with but must be completed," said Dorin Chirtoaca.

Dorin Chirtoaca was mayor of Chisinau between 2007-2017, when he was dismissed in connection with the scandal related to paid parking, being accused of taking bribes in a criminal case.
