The President of the European Council Donald Tusk approves of the stable and consistent pro-European choice of the Republic of Moldova. “In the region, Moldova is an example of pro-European choices and ambitions,” Donald Tusk said in a press briefing held after a meeting with Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici in Brussels, IPN reports.

Chiril Gaburici met with Donald Tusk within the official visit that the Moldovan official paid to the European capital. The Premier said he has the honor to head a pro-European Government, while the Moldovan authorities are determined to accelerate reforms so that the European integration process offers real benefits to the country’s people.

The Prime Minister spoke about the Government’s priorities, mentioning the justice sector reform, corruption combating, ensuring of transparency in the banking sector and of sustainable economic growth. He noted that the monitoring on the part of the EU will be as important as the assistance provided to Moldova to do reforms.

Chiril Gaburici is paying a two-day visit to Brussels, on February 26 and 27.
