Doctors warn citizens that cases of bee stings are on a rise
The doctors warn citizen that recently the number of reported bee stings, especially dangerous to allergic persons, is on rise.
The doctor on guard of the Operative section of the National center of emergency medicine, Mrs. Eufalia Negreata, told Info-Prim Neo that only this Saturday and Sunday 6 cases of bee stings have been registered in Chisinau, 4 of which have been reported at the beach in Vadul lui Voda.
The increase of bee stings is due to the fact that more fruits are eaten in the open air, especially grapes, melons and watermelons, which are literally magnets for these insects.
Doctors compel the population’s attention to be careful; do not swallow the fruits along with the bee, because a sting to the tongue can cause a mechanical asphyxia. Bee stings can cause allergic persons and those with specific reactions to the sting to have an anaphylactic shock that could eventually cause sudden death.
The persons that endured a sting are recommended to take out the sting, and apply ammonia, salt or alcohol to the plague.
