Doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships in Romania for 20 Moldovan graduates

Twenty graduates from Moldova will be awarded doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships in Romania within the “Eugen Ionescu” program intended for the francophone area. The program provides 85 scholarships to graduates from 16 countries situated on three continents, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Embassy of Romania in Moldova. The program is implemented at 22 Romanian universities that are members of the Francophone University Agency. The candidates are selected according to such criteria as quality and insurance of balanced geographical representation. Priority will be given to the candidates coming from Central and Eastern Europe. The fellowship program “Eugen Ionescu” was initiated by Romania on the occasion of the Francophonie Summit held in Bucharest and represents the country’s contribution to sustainable development in the francophone area and to development assistance as a member state of the EU. The program is managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania and the Francophone University Agency through its Office for Central and Eastern Europe.
