Doctor who jumped from eighth floor worked radiologist at Emergency Hospital

The 63-year-old doctor who jumped from the eighth floor of the Chisinau Emergency Hospital this morning worked as a radiologist at the institution. One day before the incident, the man tendered his resignation.
Emergency Hospital vice director Liviu Vovc has told Info-Prim Neo that the doctor had received treatment in the neurology section not long ago. According to his wife, the man threatened to kill himself with his hunter’s gun.
The doctor came to the hospital in the morning and told the patients that he intended to commit suicide. The patients called other doctors, who managed to stop him and took him to another office. There, while talking with his colleagues, the man made a dash for the window and jumped through it, breaking the glass.
