Direct Pharma Logistics comes to Moldova and Bulgaria

The group of Romanian pharmaceutical companies Direct Pharma Logistics is expanding its drug distribution operations in Bulgaria, and from this year also in the Republic of Moldova, Economedia.ro reports, quoting a press release of the company.

Direct Pharma Logistics, which consists of Direct Pharma Logistics, Pharmalink and Farmatop, is the first company with national coverage in Romania to offer logistics services to pharmaceutical companies, through the direct distribution of products.

The company said that the expansion process is part of a strategy through which it has set ambitious goals, considering that Bulgaria represents a market with a lot of potential, given that there is a major shortage of medicines. “In addition, although the number of pharmacies is almost double the European average, there is a significant deficit in terms of the number of pharmacists, and implicitly of support and advice in terms of patient treatment.”

“We will work closely with Bulgarian manufacturers to launch new products on the Romanian market. Another objective is to better understand the needs of authorities, doctors and patients in Bulgaria,” said Marius Mincă, Pharmalink CEO.

Direct Pharma Logistics in the first quarter of 2024 had a turnover of €11.1 million, by 13% more than in the same period last year. The group of three companies this year celebrates 10 years of activity.

The group of Romanian pharmaceutical companies Direct Pharma Logistics plans a new expansion next year, when it intends to reach the Republic of Moldova.
