Dimitriana Surdu has won a silver medal at the European Throwing Cup that was held in Slovakia. She reached a personal season best of 17.99 meters, being outperformed only by Sweden’s Fanny Roos with the result of 18.44 meters, IPN reports.

In hammer throw, Zalina Petrivskaya ranked tenth with 68.31 m. Zalina’s brother Sergey Marghiev ranked seventh in the men’s competition with a season best of 73.53 m.

In the Under 23 competition, Denis Picus finished fourth in javelin throw, while Dan Morari ranked 12th in hammer throw.
