Documentaries, feature films and animation movies from the archive of Moldova Film were digitized and since June 16 have been shown at Odeon Cinema in Chisinau. Those interested can see the films free of charge until June 24, IPN reports.

The first film that was digitized is “The Outlaw” that won the prize in the Short Film section of the Cannes Film Festival in 1986. The screening of the digitized films of Moldova Film’s archive during Jejune 16-24 started also with this film, the Ministry of Culture noted in a press release.

The initiative to digitize the archive of Moldova Film was chosen for being financed in a contest launched by the EU Confidence Building Measures Program that is implemented by UNDP Moldova, with the consultative vote of the public.
