The vehicles used for up to nine years could be imported into Moldova duty-free by citizens who return home from abroad, by one unit of transport per family. Initially, the period was up to seven years. The Government approved a bill to this effect on Friday, IPN reports.
The vehicle will not be sold, donated or leased out for a period of three years, not of five years as it was stipulated in the initial variant of the bill.
The legislative proposal was formulated by President Maia Sandu. It is suggested that the given law should take effect on October 1, 2022.
