“The early legislative elections of November 28, 2010 should have led to the resolving of the political and constitutional crisis, but they hadn’t. The passing political year was a very bad one,” political analyst Viorel Cibotaru stated for Info-Prim Neo.
According to Viorel Cibotaru, the political class did not remedy the situation and did not manage to set a mechanism of political dialogue that would lead to clear political decisions. “The situation remains absolutely uncertain. It is not clear what decisions those who are in power will take. The three parties that formed the ruling alliance and the PCRM, which is formally in the opposition, are responsible for such a state of affairs,” said the analyst.
He considers that the work of the political parties chiefly reflects the characteristics of Moldovan society. “I mean the identity, demographic, territorial and economic problems that made this year unsuccessful. No progress was made in solving political problems and certain commitments as regards the European integration were not fulfilled. The reforms needed for economic development were not fully implemented,” said Viorel Cibotaru.
On a scale of 1 to 10, the current political class deserves a 6, said the analyst.
On November 28, it is a year since the early parliamentary elections of 2010.
