Departing Government proposes amendments to statute of Academy of Public Administration

The contest of admission to master’s degree studies at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Moldova during 2009 – 2010 will be open to public servants and other persons working in the social and economic spheres, on the recommendation of the public authorities. The applicants must have higher education, a length of service of at least 3 years and be younger than 40. The public administration studies for them must be a professional necessity. This is one of the amendments that the Government proposed introducing to the statute of the Academy of Public Administration. The changes are to be approved by presidential decree, Info- Prim Neo reports. Other amendments say that the Academy of Public Administration will prepare public servants that will be further promoted to executive posts in the central public administration. The lectures will be given by professors of the Academy of Public Administration and other institutions, managers of the central public administration and scientists from scientific research institutions, famous national and foreign experts, in accordance with the legislation. The applicants will be admitted on the basis of tests on the specialty discipline, the foreign language and computer use and a private interview with the selection and admission commission, whose composition will be set by presidential decree. The last amendment says that the award of the persons studying for the master’s degree at the Academy will be equal to their salary.
