Debt to ACC for water consumption amounts to about MDL 278 mln
The debt of consumers to “Apa-Canal Chisinau” JSC (ACC) amounted, at the end of July, to MDL 278 mln, by over MDL 20 mln more compared with the last year.
The head of Public Relations Department, Mihai Golban told Info-Prim Neo that the most consistent part of the debts belongs to the population – over MDL 157 mln, or by over MDL 10 mln more than 9 months ago. Businessmen must pay to the company MDL 116 mln, by MDL 3 mln more. Of them, the energetic complex must pay to ACC over MDL 70 mln. The budgetary institutions have debts of over MDL 3.4 mln.
Golban said that the majority of population’s debts are made up from the differences showed by the water meters from the apartments and those installed in the apartment blocks, which constitutes at the moment MDL 112.5 mln. Golban declared that in Chisinau are over 350 apartment blocks with a level of payment lower than a half of the consumed volume of water. According to the cited source, the single solution is halting water supplies to these blocks.
According to the statistics of ACC, the biggest water consumer is the population, which consumes 73.2% of the total of the delivered water. Economic agents use 14.1% and the budgetary institutions – 5.2%.
