Eleven persons lost the battle with the novel coronavirus on July 2, taking the death toll to 560. As many as 252 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed today after doing  1,859  tests, 1,398 of which were primary ones, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

Of the 252 confirmed cases, four were imported from Italy, the UK, the Russian Federation and Romania. Among those confirmed with the infection today are 20 healthcare workers.

Thirty-one of the 453 patients with COVID-19 who are in a serious state were put on a ventilator.

Among those who succumbed to the disease is a woman aged 32 from Ocnița district. She was transferred from the National Clinical Hospital to the Bălți Clinical Hospital on June 23.

Moldova has got 17,150 cases of COVID-19 so far. A number of 9,846 infected persons got cured by now.
