Halfback Danu Spătaru signed a one-year contract that can be yet extended with the Latvian team Liepaja that ranked fourth the last season, IPN reports.

He already managed to score two goals in the friendly against Trakai. Spătaru, 24, in summer will compete in the qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. Liepaja on February 12 goes to Turkey for a training session.

Danu Spătaru was raised by Zimbru with which he won Moldova’s Cup in 2014. In his career, he also played for Astra Giurgiu, Dinamo Bucharest, Politehnica Iasi and Nizhny Novgorod.
