Dacia wins silver, bronze goes to Tiraspol

Dacia Chisinau ranked second in the National Football Division. In the last stage of the season, the ‘yellow wolves’ lost the match against FC Costuleni away 1-2, IPN reports.

FC Tiraspol didn’t profit from Dacia’s failure. It also suffered a defeat in the match against Zimbru Chisinau, 2-0. Thus, both of the teams remained on the same positions in the rankings and won the right to represent Moldova in the Europa League qualifiers. Milsami Orhei beat Olimpia Balti 1-0, ranking fourth in the competition.

The other encounters ended as follows: Academia Chisinau – Speranta Crihana Veche 2-2, Nistru – Sheriff 1-2.

Final rankings: 1. Sheriff – 80 points, 2. Dacia – 66, 3. FC Tiraspol – 64, 4. Milsami – 58, 5. Rapid – 49, 6. Zimbru – 46, 7. Academia – 44, 8. FC Costuleni – 38, 9. Iskra-Stal – 38, 10. Olimpia – 35, 11. Speranta – 19, 12. Nistru – 12.

Iskra-Stal, which was relegated to Division B, and Nistru Otaci, which didn’t get a national license, will leave the National Division. Most probably, Veris Chisinau and Dinamo-Auto Tiraspol will be promoted in the 2013-2014 season.

A final decision about the number of teams in the National Division will be taken by the executive committee of the Moldovan Football Federation.
