Dacia win Moldova's Supercupa
Dacia Chisinau have won the Moldovan Supercupa for the first time, besting Iskra Stal Ribnita 1-0 on Friday, July 8. Dacia’s new transfer, Russian player Vasiliy Pavlov, scored the only goal of the match in his first game for the club, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Serbian Branislav Atanackovic, Montenegrin Milos Krkotic and Macedonian Kemal Alomervikj have also debuted for the Moldovan champions.
The match was played on the small arena of Sheriff Sports Complex in Tiraspol. Prime Minister Vlad Filat attended the game, as he never seems to miss a match on the eastern side of the Nistru. Last year, he attended several matches of Sheriff in the Europa League.
Dacia and Iskra Stal are preparing to represent Moldova on the European stage. On July 13, Dacia will meet Georgian side Zestafoni in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The next day, Iskra will face the Croatians of Varazdin in the second round of the Europa League.
