Amateur cyclists will ride the distance from the northern town of Ocnita to Chisinau to mark Independence Day in a a two-day event organized by the Moldovan Amateur Cyclists Club, the Institute of Culture and Arts of Moldova in Paris and the legal platform Voxlex.net, IPN reports.
On the first day of the race, August 26, the cyclists will cover the distance from Ocnita to Balti. The first stop will take place in Edinet, where the participants will have lunch. Afterwards they will proceed to Balti, where they will spend the night.
On the second day, August 27, the participants will go the Independence Day concert in Balti and then leave for Singerei and Orhei. In Orhei, the cyclists will have lunch before riding the last 40 kilometers to Chisinau.
The participants are expected to arrive in the capital at around 8:00PM.
This annual event is held for the fourth time.
