The Coalition for Unity and Wellbeing (CUB) considers the Government of the Party of Action and Solidarity discredited itself and it’s time for it to be changed. According to the CUB members, the current executive managed to swiftly and irresponsibly waste an excellent chance to bring things in the justice system in order by subjugating the corrupt persons from the system, IPN reports.
“We do not have any doubt that Natalia Gavrilița’s premiership was exhausted. The current Government managed to swiftly and irresponsibly waste an excellent chance to bring things in the justice system in order by subjugating the corrupt persons from the system. During over half a year, it flirted with the big monopolists, ignoring the necessity of liberalization and equal conditions asked by the private sector. It hid precious data about the contracts in the energy sector, blocking in the period the need for swift diversification of the energy market, contrary to the national interest. Important reforms announced in education, healthcare, security and defense generated controversy and division instead of uniting the educated society, under the direct responsibility of the involved officials,” the party said in a press release.
The CUB members consider the Government led by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița will leave behind a devastated economy, a divided society and a solid base of evidence for which some of the Cabinet ministers will answer before the law. The huge legitimacy with which this Government was invested in July 2021 was compromised.
“However, for the failure of the current government not to destroy the EU accession chances, the Republic of Moldova needs another type of government, without conceited, corrupt and incompetent persons and cousins hired through personal channels. A government that can regain the citizens’ confidence in what can unite us, which can have a dialogue and is competent, which can govern in public interests is necessary. A credible interlocutor is needed in Chisinau as, without this, the extraordinary support of the European Union will not materialize. The keeping of the old government in the current composition will maintain the Republic of Moldova in the vicious circle of complicity, corruption and incompetence, while the Republic of Moldova needs a virtuous and credible government before the Support Platform conference in Berlin,” said the Coalition for Unity and Wellbeing.
The CUB considers the immediate replacement of the Government is necessary but insufficient.
