Criuleni district has a new manager. This is the chairman of the district organization of the Democratic Party Veacseslav Burlac, who was chosen in the May 6 meeting of the Criuleni District Council, IPN reports.

Criuleni district councilor Ionel Puscas on a social networking site wrote that the head of Criuleni district Iurie Andriuta tendered his resignation. This is held in the remand unit of the National Anticorruption Center. The Council took cognizance of his resignation and chose a new district head.

At the end of April, the head of Criuleni district Iurie Andriuta was arrested on suspicion that he fixed tender contests held within projects financed by the European Union by favoring business entities in personal interests.
