As of May 7, the persons are obliged to wear masks and other items to cover the mouth and nose in closed public places – commercial areas, drugstores and others, says a decision taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations of Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.

Under the ordinance, the managers of such places will not allow citizens to enter if they do not have protection means.

The non-observance of the provisions of this decision can lead to dangers to public health and will serve as a reason for holding those to blame administratively and criminally accountable.

The covering of the nose and mouth in public transport in Chisinau became mandatory on May 4.
