A Calarasi man and woman who had beaten to death another woman from the village were sentenced to 12 and 13 years in jail respectively, Info-Prim Neo learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office. The man and the woman, neighbors, were drunk and quarreled with another woman, whom they suspected to have stolen some of their goods. They were in her household when they began punching her and hitting her with a prop. She died on the spot and her body was found next morning by neighbors. The murder was committed in 2011 and the sentence can be appealed.
