The municipal councilor representing the Moldova Noastra Alliance Oleg Cernei considers that it is very important that the events that happened in Chisinau are investigated by an international commission. He denied being one of the organizers of the violent protests in downtown Chisinau. Cernei said he was not summoned by the Prosecutor’s Office. “I was not summoned and will not be summoned. If there had been evidence, I would have been arrested long ago,” the councilor told a news conference on April 13, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to him, the violent acts did not form part of an attempted coup. “It was a provocation on the part of the information services and the authorities, a direct manipulation of the persons that cane to protest peacefully,” he said. The municipal councilor considers that the central public authorities mobilized groups of provokers that were among the protesters in the front rows and started the clashes with the police and the attack on the two buildings. “They were aggressive persons with shaved heads that looked like detainees,” Cernei said. Oleg Cernei said that the authorities hastened when they allowed burying the first victim of the violence. The body of Valeriu Boboc should be exhumed so as to establish the real cause of his death, the councilor said. According to Cernei, there are young women put under home arrest, who said they were raped. Their parents demand that the doctors examine them, but access to them is banned. The municipal councilor considers that a civil war could break out if the authorities do not settle the dispute. He made reference to a video placed on his blog that supports his statements.
