Moldova’s last representative at the World Boxing Championships, Victor Cotiujanschi was eliminated at the stage of quarterfinals by Armenia’s Andranik Akopean. Cotiujanschi showed the best results at this competition among the Moldovan boxers. The other boxers, Veaceslav Gojan, Alexandru Rascan, Vasile Belous, Vladimir Cheles and Mihail Muntean left the competition at lower stages. The XV World Boxing Championships is held in Milan. The competition was joined by over 500 boxers from 143 countries and will end on September 12.
