Corjova residents able to vote, conflict resolved
The Corjova voters’ access to Cocieri village, where a polling place was established for them, had been blocked for about three hours. Promo-LEX Association chairman Ion Manole has told Info-Prim Neo that at 05.00 the Transnistria militia started to hinder the inhabitants of Corjova from going to Cocieri on different pretexts. By 08.00, the situation normalized.
“Tiraspol does not want the local administration of Corjova to be elected. Therefore, they resorted to intimidation and access baring,” said Ion Manole.
In Cocieri, there were opened two polling places – one for the inhabitants of Cocieri ad the other one for the Corjova voters.
