The contest to select the chief prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office was extended until March 9. A decision to this effect was taken by the Superior Council of Prosecutors, IPN reports.
The previous deadline was February 25. The contest has two stages. The first stage is the pre-selection of candidates by a special commission constituted by the SCP, while the second stage is the selection of candidates by the Council.
The candidates for the post of chief prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office must have at least 10 years’ professional experience in the field of law in Moldova’s jurisdiction or in foreign jurisdictions, including international organizations. At least four years’ experience should have been accumulated in the post of judge, prosecutor, lawyer or investigation officer.
Applications can be submitted until March 9, 5pm, to the email address aparat@csp.md or to the head office of the Superior Council of Prosecutors, situated at 73 Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd in Chisinau.
In the middle of last October, the Superior Council of Prosecutors named Elena Cazacov as acting head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office.
