Constructions on pipelines to be demolished and trees to be cut down by owners
The buildings built on pipelines will be demolished and the trees will be cut down by the authorities on the account of the owners who will supplementary pay a fine of MDL 200.
These actions are stipulated in the draft Law for the amendment of the article 141 of the Code on Administrative Contraventions, which received approval of the Cabinet.
The draft was worked out and presented to the Government by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure and aims at introducing of supplementary sanctions to the rules related to the protection of the pipelines. It was considered that the previous fines were not efficient.
The amendments aim at solving the problems and disputes occurring with the landowners in the pipeline protection zones. Authorities assert that by violating the law and without Government’s approval, local public authorities of several settlements offered the lands used by the supply companies to private owners.
