Construction of oil petroleum terminal of Giurgiulesti will be finished in May and not in March, as it was foreseen previously
Construction of the Oil Petroleum Terminal of Giurgiulesti, made by the Azerbaijan company Azpetrol, will be finished in May and not in March, as it was stipulated previously. The schedule of construction works was changed because of frosts registered in January. The general manager of the terminal, Zakir Ibrahimov, made the affirmations in this sense during the meeting with the prime minister, Vasile Tarlev, who went to Giurgiulesti to familiarise with the construction works.
Ibrahimov mentioned that until now within the project there were done the works of soil settlement and access ways, and administrative buildings of the objective, anticorrosive works were done to tanks. Till it will be open, the engineering and pumping systems of petroleum in tanks will be installed.
Prime minister Vasile Tarlev was very pleased of these activities and reiterated the idea that finishing this project will strengthen the energy security of the country. According to him, next years Moldova could change its status of import country of petroleum goods unto export one. Tarlev expressed his confidence that once this project is finished on petroleum goods market will appear competition, which will have a positive impact on prices.
Till now, there were invested 18 million dollars in building the petroleum terminal of Giurgiulesti.
