The Constitutional Court (CC) decided to repeatedly suspend the Government’s decision to concede the Chisinau International Airport. The Court informed that such a decision was taken because the executive disregarded the first suspension of September 10, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the CC, on September 12 the Government adopted a decision concerning the approval of the report on the results of the closed contest for choosing the concessionaire.
The Court ordered suspending the Government‘s decision until a definitive court decision is issued. It also banned taking actions to put the two suspended Government decisions into practice.
The Constitutional Court was asked by Liberal reformers to pronounce on the constitutionality of the May 29 Government decision to hold a contest to select a company to which to concede the Chisinau International Airport. The MPs argued that the executive took this decision after it was dismissed and had limited powers then.
