Computerised integrated information system in migration to be set up by September 1
A computerised integrated information system in migration will be created and implemented by September 1, 2007. The system will be set up in compliance with the Law on Migration and has the purpose to create conditions for implementing the mechanism to coordinate and control migration, and ensure the activity of the specialised central authorities.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs, as a beneficiary, was tasked to create this system in concert with the Ministry of Information Development, of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, of Economy and Commerce, the Border Guards Service and Information and Security Service.
The integrated information system will be set up as a departmental information resource under the information system “The State Population Register”, on the basis of other previous state information systems in the field of migration.
The Ministry of Finances will identify within two months the necessary financial resources for creating and implementing this system and will annually provide for necessary funds to maintain and develop it.
