A working group will update the regulations concerning the determination of the common national complexity level of civil, criminal and administrative cases. An initiative to this effect was approved by the Superior Council of Magistracy on January 24.
Contacted by IPN, the Council’s chairman Victor Micu said the complexity level of legal cases should be reviewed. Currently, the complexity level of a case concerning reinstatement in post, for example, is greater than of a case to collect a fixed sum.
The cases in court are distributed proportionally, but not according to the number, but to the complexity level. That’s why increased precision is needed when determining the complexity level.
In the same meeting, the Superior Council of Magistracy agreed to constitute a working that will draft the regulations concerning the ensuring of secrecy in courts of law. This secrecy regime will allow judges to access classified trial materials.
