Companies from Transnistria go on registering in Moldova
In less that three years, 461 companies from Transnistria have registered with the Moldovan Registry Chamber. The process started to gain momentum from March 3, 2006, when Moldova and Ukraine introduced a new customs regime, not allowing fake products, Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent in the area reports.
Since the beginning of 2008, 78 other companies have been registered in Moldova, while the amount of export operations reached $669.5 million, up 59% year on year.
The first place in exports belongs to metallurgical products, in amount of $421.2 million. The light industry goods were sold to reach $96 million. Cement is ranked as the third in exports as a 5 times more cement has been exported than during the same period of the last year.
22 companies from the area have not resumed operations yet, as the children canned food factory from Tiraspol, the sugar factory and the meat processing company from Rabnita, etc.
