The Communist parliamentary group demanded immediately calling an extraordinary sitting of Parliament in connection with the revolt and acts of violence against the administration of Gagauzia, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Communist Party (PCRM).
The decision to demand convening an extraordinary sitting of the legislature was taken in the June 3 meeting of the Communist parliamentary group, following “the attempt to remove from power the legal authorities of Gagauzia made by the central authorities in complicity with the law enforcement bodies,” says the communiqué.
In the June 3 meeting of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia, a number of deputies as well as ordinary people who burst in asked that the chairman of the People’s Assembly Dmitry Constantinov and Governor Mihail Formuzal should resign. According to the portal gagauz.md, the formed president of Vulcanesti district Sergey Chernev slapped Constantinov and kicked Formuzal.
