The Communist Party is preparing for early parliamentary elections, the party’s head Vladimir Voronin said after the June 16 plenary meeting of the PCRM, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vladimir Voronin said there were created 11 special commissions that will focus on different aspects – organizational, political, ideological, juridical, the mass media, and others. According to Voronin, they discussed the necessity of the Civic Congress continuing its work and the importance of the post of Deputy Speaker that belongs to the opposition. “In one of the next meetings, we will return to this issue,” said the Communist leader. Earlier, this post was held by former Communist MP Artur Reshetnikov, who was deprived of seat in March because he did not attend the Parliament’s sittings. For almost half a year, the Communist faction had boycotted the sittings, arguing the current legislative body is unlawful. This week, the Communist MPs returned to Parliament, saying they came back in order to continued the political struggle. Vladimir Voronin expressed his confidence that the PCRM will win the early legislative elections and will then repeal all the laws adopted by the Alliance for European Integration.
