Communists’ Party is the top choice in RM
If next Sunday elections were to take place, just 5 political parties would have a chance to pass the electoral threshold the majority of votes-65% would be allocated to the Communists’ party (PCRM).
The data is gathered by the Socio-Political Barometer (BSP OMNIMAS), and released on Wednesday.
According to the public opinion, second in the top, after PCRM would be PPSD with 9%, followed by Alliance “Moldova Noastra” (AMN) with 8%, and by the Social democratic Party (PSD) 4%. Other parties have no chances.
The results of public opinion are very similar to the results of the same poll conducted in February this year.
The results also indicate that 49% of population do trust PCRM, while at the same time, 42% says that the party can not be trusted, Second place in the “trust top” has AMN -21%, followed by PPCD- 18%, PD – 15%, PSD -12% etc. The majority of interviewees do not rely on PPCD and PD.
Vladimir Voronin is the top favourite - 55% amongst political figures, followed by Vasile Tarlev, prime minister -42%, Marian Lupu, speaker -37%, and by Serafim Urecheanu, AMN leader -24%.
75% of population declared that they are available and would definitely or most probably exercise their right to vote, while 19% declared that they would definitely not vote.
BSP OMNIPAS was conducted in January 2006, by the Institute of Marketing and Opinions IMAS-INC Chisinau. The sample population was 1100 persons with a possibility of error of 3%.
