Communist group leaves Parliament sitting

The parliamentary group of the Communist Party Thursday left the sitting of the legislative body in protest at the fact that a number of bills put forward by it were not included in the agenda, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The Head of Parliament flagrantly violates the legislature’ regulations, which say that the MPs, in the first sitting of the week, have the right to propose bills for discussion. Marian Lupu infringed this right and we decided to leave,” said MP Sergiu Sarbu. According to him, if the Speaker continues to defy the Parliament’s regulations, the Communist group may demand dismissing Marian Lupu. After the Communist lawmakers left, Marian Lupu announced that a quorum was not present as there were only 55 MPs attending.
