A common information center, the Mas Media Center “Tiraspol”, is planned to be created in the capital of the Transnistrian region. It will be managed by the local authorities. The new institution will be founded by merging the local newspaper “Dnestrovskaya Pravda” and the official website of the Tiraspol administration www.tirasadmin.org, Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in Tiraspol reports. But later the media center will incorporate the television company “Vesti Tiraspolea”, the radio station “Stolita FM”, periodicals and even press kiosks that will sell symbols of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian republic as well. The creation of the information center forms part of the strategy for developing the municipal mass media in Tiraspol and Dnestrovsk towns for 2009 - 2010. The Tiraspol administration considers that the new center will contribute to the development of the mass media services in Tiraspol and Dnestrovsk and will enable to improve the process of informing the population. The setting up of the center will start by this yearend and will be completed in 2011.
