Commission of inquiry says Valeriu Zubco summoned prosecutors Dec. 24
On December 24, 2012, the next day after the hunting incident happened in the Domneasca Forest, the then prospector general Valeriu Zubco called a meeting with prosecutors, where he said nothing about that case, the head of the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the incident Anatolie Zagorodnyi said after the hearing, where acting prosecutor general Andrei Pantea was questioned alongside other officials, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Anatolie Zagorodnyi said the statements made by the participants in the hunting were similar to those of the persons questioned on the spot. “In fact, they were very similar,” he stated.
According to him, as a result of the questioning they decided that the list of questioned persons will be extended to include Alexandru Jizdan, officer of the Ministry of the Interior, Dorin Damir, head of “Arguz” company, and doctors of the ambulance service “Aviasan”, who operated the young man who was wounded during hunting.
On February 2, the commission will question representatives of mobile phone carriers so as to determine possible telephone conversations involving the participants in the hunting.
On February 1, there were questioned eight persons, including the ex-director of “Moldsilva” Agency Ion Lupu, former vice president of the Court of Appeals Gheorghe Cretu, who is accused of accidentally killing the young man, and president of the Court of Appeals Ion Plesca.
Former prospector general Valeriu Zubco will be questioned on February 3. He did not come to the hearing on February 1, invoking health problems. On Tuesday, February 5, there will be questioned Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, and the Liberal Party head Mihai Ghimpu.
