Foreign currency assets of the banking system, totaled at the end of October, MDL 9.75 bln, of which 9.24 bln are net balance assets and MDL 505.75 bln are conditioned assets. In the structure of the net balance assets in foreign currency, the greatest share is covered by credits in foreign currency – MDL 4.75 bln, and the compulsory reserves in foreign currency amount to MDL 780.57 mln. Term deposits held abroad of the banks from the R. of Moldova constitute MDL 1.31 bln. On the other hand, obligations in foreign currency total MDL 9.58 bln, of which demand deposits in foreign currency – MDL 2.50 bln and term deposits of customers in foreign currency – MDL 4.61 bln. Total assets of the banking system are of about MDL 21 bln, and the obligations – of more than 17 bln.
