Chisinau acting mayor Ruslan Codreanu has instructed relevant municipal agencies to make sure that buses and trolleybuses stock on drinking water to help riders through the heat wave, reports IPN.
“Drinking water distribution points are also set up around the city to help people during the hot weather. Tents have been installed in each district of Chisinau. Take care and try to avoid high temperature hours”, said Codreanu in a Facebook post.
Meteorologists have issued a ‘code yellow’ warning for July 1 and 2, when highs are expected to reach 33-35 degrees Celsius on extended areas.
