A number of nongovernmental organizations joined forces to defend the principle of equality and to fight discrimination by founding the Coalition for Inclusion and Nondiscrimination (CIN).
The CIN aims to analyze all the recommendations to prevent and fight discrimination formulated for Moldova by international and regional organizations responsible for monitoring human rights treaties. The coalition’s goal is to contribute to protecting and promoting the human rights and freedoms and to working out and consistently applying a nondiscriminatory legal framework in Moldova.
“At the first stage, I think we will promote a bill on hate speech and hate crime. We must only force its adoption and implementation,” CIN secretary Gheorghina Drumea stated for IPN.
The Coalition for Inclusion and Nondiscrimination is a non-institutionalized and apolitical organization that works based on voluntary principles. Among the founding members are the Promo-LEX Association, the Legal Resources Center, the Partnership for Development Center, the Information Center “GENDERDOC-M”, the Institute for Human Rights, and Inițiativa Pozitivă (Positive Initiative).
