The commission for budget, economy, finance and local public patrimony of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) has given green light to a modification and completion of a precedent CMC decision on approval of the regulation on representation of the Chisinau municipality in economic societies. According to the head of the directorate for financial management and auditing, Eugenia Ciumac, the draft approved by commission calls for modification and approval of members of the CMC permanent commission for attestation and authorisation of representatives of the Chisinau municipality in economic societies, as well as approval of specimen of qualification certificate issued to CMC representatives in economic societies. She noted that the delegation of representatives, qualified specialists to represent the interests of CMC in economic societies is needed to supervise the activity, to intensify and optimise the control on economic societies. The draft decision will be submitted at an extraordinary sitting of CMC for approval next week. According to data for January 1, CMC holds 114.3 million lei in the statutory capital of 14 economic societies working in the Chisinau municipality. CMC holds between 51 and 100 percent in 10 economic societies.
