Clocks go back one hour this night

Moldova switches to winter time on the night of October 28. Clocks are set one hour back, IPN reports.

The clocks go back on the last Sunday in October. This February, the European Parliament voted to abandon the practice of switching between summer and winter time, but a definitive decision hasn’t been yet taken.

On October 24, Prime Minister Pavel Filip confirmed that Moldova switches to standard or winter time. “If the conclusion that we should not switch to winter or summer time is reached, we will comply. Until then, we will do as all the European countries do,” stated the Premier.

In most of the European countries, Daylight Saving Time begins on the last Sunday in March and ends on the last Sunday in October.
