The Chisinau Municipality has submitted a request to state institutions for compensation from the state budget to cover expenses for certain strategic services, amounting to over 177 million lei. The request comes in response to rising energy tariffs, which have caused the municipal budget losses of approximately 400 million lei, IPN reports.

The appeal has been addressed to the Presidency, Parliament, Government, State Chancellery, and Ministry of Finance.

Local authorities are requesting compensation from the state budget for expenses related to public passenger transportation and public lighting.

The institutions concerned have not yet responded to the municipality's request.
