Pupils in Chisinau will receive meal packages during the current school lockdown. The parcels will be distributed to the parents, the municipal Extraordinary Commission for Public Health decided.

Classes in special education institutions may continue with limited attendance, it was also decided.

Another measure is to offer HoReCa organizations in Chisinau a 50% exemption on the local tax for the duration of the “code red” coronavirus alert.

Access to primary health care institutions shall be allowed on an appointment basis, except for emergencies and for Covid vaccination.

Audiences for members of the public are suspended, and public access is restricted to all municipal divisions. Petitioning shall take place by mail, e-mail or phone.

While masks are mandatory indoor, on public transport and at bus stops, the Commission recommends that everyone masks up outdoor as well. Masks must cover both the mouth and the nose.
