Chisinau Municipality registered substantial increase in cash-ins for the National Public Budget in February
The cash-ins in the Chisinau municipality for the National Public Budget (NPB) registered a substantial increase in February as well, following the record increase of approximately 65% in January.
During the first two months of this year, the NPB accumulated approximately MDL 1137 billion. Compared to the amounts cashed in the same period of 2006, the cash-ins registered an increase of MDL 393 million, which is +53%.
Chief of the Chisinau State Fiscal Inspectorate Procopie Duca said during an operative session of the City Hall on Monday, March 5, that in the aforementioned period, the state budget accumulated approximately 511 million, a 210 million or 70% increase.
The tax payers transferred, in the same period, approximately 229 million lei to the local budget, an increase of 91 million or 66%. The state social insurance budget cashed in 335 million lei, representing an increase of 72 million lei or 27%. The mandatory medical assistance insurance fund cashed in 61 million lei, an increase of 19.5 million or 47% compared to the same period of last year.
The cash-in plan for the NPB for these two months was over-fulfilled by 200 million lei, or 21%. According to Duca, the major cash-ins are due to the measures undertaken last year to improve the evidence of deliveries, installing fiscal posts, resealing of cash registers, modifying tax receipts, and actions undertaken to trace ghost-firms etc.
