The municipality of Chisinau prolonged the deadline by which cold-month allowances of 40% of the heat bill for the 2013-2014 heating season can be asked for until summer. Until now, compensations were paid to 23,000 end-users, as against 35,000 last year, IPN reports.

The cold-month allowances are paid to families with average monthly incomes lower than 1,700 lei per member. The applications are submitted to the housing sector manager. They must be accompanied by a certificate about the composition of the family, the birth certificates of children, the pensioner’s certificate showing the size of pension, the copy of the marriage certificate, of the certificate about salary incomes, of the certificate about the personal account from the Municipal Housing Stock Enterprise and of the realty certificate.

If the applications are accepted, calculations will be done again for the whole heating season.

The heating season in the municipality of Chisinau for the housing sector closed last week. A part of the kindergartens and medical institutions continue to be supplied with heat. In October – February, there was supplied heat to the value of over 500 million lei. The level of payments for heat stands at 55%.
